Improvement in Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue
The symptoms of Fibromyalgia can include some or all of the following: widespread joint and muscle pain, spasms ranging from moderate to severe, mild to disabling fatigue, sleep disorders, restless leg syndrome, cognitive and memory impairment, digestive problems, chronic headaches, TMJ Syndrome, sensitivity to odors, noise, light, and/or foods, depression, and other related conditions. 80% of Fibromyalgia sufferers are women. Since the cause of FMS is unknown, it is termed a "syndrome." Some experts in the field of FMS (Fibromyalgia Syndrome) and CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome) believe these two conditions are actually different manifestations of the same syndrome. While there is no known cure for FMS, the condition can improve on its own and symptoms may be alleviated through improved nutrition, mild exercise, stress management, massage, relaxation, and prescription medications.

The message in the medical literature is clear: people with fibromyalgia who are physically fit suffer less symptoms.' She also emphasizes listening to your body and working up the intensity of your workouts slowly to avoid suffering for it later. "I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia, and during the past 3.5 years since I got sick, I have gained over 45 lbs. I have tried treadmill walking, stationary bikes, strength training with light weights, and aquafitness. Other than the aquafitness, which has helped with range of motion, but leaves me exhausted for the remainder of the day, the other exercises eventually left me so exhausted that I required a cane to walk, and then only for a few minutes at a time. Your program offers me the low (no) impact exercise that the Doctor has ordered. I tried Body Flex just after Christmas of this year, and I did get some fairly good results with it. However, I found it very difficult to do first thing in the morning, as I tend to be drowsy for a couple of hours after waking up, and the exhaling tended to take a lot out of me! I was also embarrassed to do the exercises when strangers were visiting, etc., as whenever I did do them, family members were constantly calling in to me to see if I was o.k.??

I want to thank you for developing Oyxicse! It is fabulous and has changed my life! I purchased the videotapes last May from QVC and have been faithfully doing it every other day. I have fibromyalgia and a 15-inch steel rod in my back (I had a spinal fusion for scoliosis when I was a teenager) and have not been able to exercise for years. I have tried swimming, walking, and many various videotapes all to no avail. My pain level would always get worse and I'd be set back for weeks. I had seen you on QVC a number of times and decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did. My physical therapist, who I see once a month, cannot get over the progress I have made and because of that I have made more progress with her than we ever expected!
